Arabian Foalby ~CountryBird

Traditional Art / Collage

The foal in this collage is a purebred Arabian turning grey. He's done in acrylics and colored pencil. The rest of the collage is made up of bits and pieces of vintage ephemera from my personal collection. I didn't actually use the original ephemera for this, I scanned it into my computer, printed it out and then cut it all out and glued it all together. Available as a print on Etsy [link]

The foal is what really drew me in first; the details are fantastic from the little greying hairs to the fuzzy baby mane right to the eye. He's incredibly lifelike! And then the rest of the collage pieces add a lovely burst of color.

I really, really like this.
