This is a 5x7 collage I did on canvas board. It was done with vintage images, decorative paper, rubber stamps, acrylic paint, colored pencil, and charcoal pencil. The bird was done in acrylics and colored pencil. The original collage is available on Etsy [link]

Your collages are quite beautiful.

I wouldn't say no to a bit more figurativeness/hidden meanings behind 'em, though..

Have you looked into Victorian flower language?

I've never heard of Victorian flower language. I usually only make my collages to be pretty, I rarely like for them to have any sort of meaning unless I'm really in the mood for that sort of thing. Sometimes I think it is nice for art to just be enjoyable to look at without having to think too hard about it :). Thanks so much for the comment, I'm so very happy you think they're beautiful!

So pretty! I used to do costume design in school so the historical image pulled me in. The colors are really beautiful and the patterns are so reminiscent of the fabrics that would have been used at that period. Very lovely. :)
